Bogan 71 – Vocational 47 (2:00 Tip)
The Bogan Bengals arguably the 2nd best team in the state ran away from Vocational after the first period. Vocational opened the game with some inspired play behind the efforts of 6 foot 7 forward Jordan Bell and six foot five senior Keeshawn Palmer. After the 1st quarter things came to a screeching halt for the Cavaliers, Bogan went on a run and pretty much exhausted any upset hopes by the Cavaliers. The Bengals’ trio of guards Pipkins/Johnson/Barnes will give most opponents nightmares were illustrating their ball-hawking prowess. 6-4 junior James Jones has blossomed into a top 10 recruit in the 2016 group, he sprayed jumpers and teased the crowd with entertaining dunks. Thursday Bogan has a date with Morgan Park, which should be billed as a big-time game! Bell, Vocational’s promising prospect still raw offensively but plays hard, rebounds well in traffic and he’s a superb passer, more importantly he doesn’t make mistakes. OVC, Horizon, Summit Conferences need to pursuit, he could be a gem down-the-road!
