Jottings…

Loyola-Chicago assistant coach Emanuel Dildy, a Chicago Native, took the assistant position at University of Missouri recently. The opening was created by the departure of Corey Tate who joined Travis Ford’s staff at St. Louis U.

Conant playmaker Jimmy Sotos will be out several weeks due to a broken foot he suffered the last week of the opening period in Vegas. We consider Sotos one of the top point guards in the 2017 Class.

UNIVERSITY ILLINOIS AT CHICAGO ELITE CAMP

Sunday-August 7th

Being a true hoop connoisseur, my two day odyssey steered me over to Roosevelt road where the up-swing flames hold court. The event was strong, it brandished about 130 plus hoopers. There was no comparison in entertainment value, the facilities were an ideal venue to set-up shop for evaluating purposes, and we had opportunity to see kids in a half-court setting. Number of players had taken part in DePaul’s camp the day before, but still came out with the energy and enthusiasm to learn, knowing there would be evaluations and judgement surrounding their play.
