Quality ran event, was worth the track to Rockford to see some prospects we hadn’t viewed in a while and some we’ve followed the last several weeks.  We will identity 7 players whom we felt helped themselves!

1.  Lincoln Weiseman          6’5”         FR            G              MM                Bryant & Stratton College
Good length as a backcourt player, shot it well, was uncanny passer; a player to see again, was skilled with nice feel for the game

2.  Bryson Butler                 6’1”         SO          PG           MM-LM+ Kiskwaukee
A hardnosed ball-handling playmaker, knockdown shots from 3 range; displayed poise & confidence

3.  Ricky Calvin                  6’5”         SO           WF          MM-LM+ Illinois Valley CC
Consistently took defenders off the dribble, finished at the rim, was a streaky perimeter shooter; OVC, MAC, Summit would be a good target

4.  Keymonta Johnson        6’3”         FR            F                                              Illinois Valley CC
Was a terror along the baseline.  Plays such a supporting role

5.  Connor Fuller                 6’2”         FR            G              LM+                        Black Hawk College
Big strong backcourt player with potential to be a two-way threat

6.  Brock Schwarz               6’6”         FR            WF                                          Black Hawk College
The Omaha, Nebraska native shot it well; he could mask as a specialist on the perimeter

TOP YOUNGSTER’S I WAS IMPRESSED WITH

TOP YOUNGSTER’S I WAS IMPRESSED WITH

Patrick McCaffrey                  6’9”          WF          2019                        West (Iowa City, IA)
The best player there for 2 days.  His play reminds us of Keith Van Horne. PCaff has the all around package to be a prime time national recruit:  “Destined to be a Hawkeye”

Trayce Jackson-Davis            6’8”          SF            2019                        Center Grove (Greenwood, IN)
Athletic shot-blocker and finisher; Really flourished in the all-star game.  Protected the paint like a big time interior recruit.  One of the top 2 or 3 players at the event

Malik Hall                              6’6”          F              2019                        Sunrise Christian (Wichita, KS)
Metea Valley cast-off, recently re-classified, has a wealth of talent, and he demonstrated it for 2 days.  Swingman type, an athletic Malcolm Hill

Lamond Johnson                     6’3”          G              2019                        Chicago Morgan Park
Was a force at both ends of the floor.  He’s going to be a 2 way stud.  This kid is fearless

Markese Jacobs                      5’10”        G              2019                        Chicago Uplift
He was pure entertainment. Jacobs is starting to remind me of the Wizard Gus Williams, the former Seattle Super Sonics Legend

Jamari Sibley                          6’9”          C              2020                        Nicolet (Milwaukee, WI)
Displayed nice hands; a feather touch & skilled enough to be a versatile threat.  Impressive.

Adam Miler                             6’2”          WG          2020                        Peoria Manual
Explosive southpaw; dynamite in transition; can score in bundles; now I see where all the fanfare created it’s own wave.  Might be No. 1 in the class.

Rodney Clemons                     6’2”          G              2019                        Chicago Curie
Nice player, wiry shot-it from distances, looked invocative slashing to the cup.  I like his potential.

Joel Watts                              5’9”          G              2020                        St. Rita
Had some moments in the All-Star game where he made some big shots

Miles Baker                           6’1”          PG           2019                        Chicago Young
This kid was terrific, played with poise & was in attack mode, most of the day; good looking prospect.  Now who is he backing-up at Young?

John Michael Mulloy               6’8”          F/C          2019                        Carmel (Carmel, IN)
Was mobile & active; competed at a high level; looks like he will thrive in a system setting

Taeyon Neal                            6’10”        C              2019                        Providence St. Mel
Brandishes enormous potential in which he demonstrated during the 2 day rumble, his love for the game often questioned – elected to pass on the All-Star game

Shon Robinson                        6’7”          F              2020                        Morgan Park
Lanky athlete was impressive; ran the floor; scored inside & mid range; blocked shots; Stardom could be in the picture

A.J. White                                6’5”          F              2019                        Rockhurst (Kansas City, MO)
Big body terror; He took it to opponents offensively all day on Sunday

Amauri Pesek                         6’3”          G              2019                        Omaha South (Omaha, NB)
I caught a short version glimpse of his individual’s feats.  He was considered one of the Top 5 players at Pangos.

Jeremiah Hernandez               6’4”          G/F          2019                        St. Viator
The consensus around the camp was he played well enough to be selected to one of the All-Star teams.  This kid was one of the Top 5 under-rated talents at the event.  Top 20-25 in our deep 2019 crop in Illinois.  Did not have his political supporters on-hand with him

Martynas Macenis                  6’4”          G/F          2019                        Stagg (Palos Hills, IL)
Slendly skilled performer knocked down shots and made plays.  Top 5 sleeper

Detalian Brown Jr                  6’2”          G              2019                        Morton (Berwyn, IL)
Sleek & smooth; played with a wealth of confidence, capable scorer, under-rated

Patrick Baldwin Jr                  6’5”          WG          2021                        Haven Middle School (Evanston)
At 13 years of age he was the youngest on-hand.  Already equipped with excellent length.  Has that Allan Houston profile going now, a future star attraction in our area.  Northwestern baby!!!

Marquise Walker                    6’0”          PG           2019                        St. Joseph (Westchester, IL)
Dazzled as he usually does; injury shut him down in the All-Star setting

Brandon Weston                     6’3”          G              2020                       St. John’s Military (WI)
Top 5 under rated performer; made athletic plays & shots, the game looked easy.

Kejuan Clements                     6’2”          G              2019                        Chicago Simeon
Combo type right now, ball handling has to be shored-up, played well in the All-Star setting

Antonio Reeves                       6’2”          G              2019                        Chicago Kenwood
Was good in spurts on Sunday; His game - still raw & in developmental stage

D.J Steward                            6’1”          G              2020                        Fenwick
This kid had the look on Sunday, as a prime time prospect.  It should be interesting watching his growth as a player.  Very talented
