Riverside-Brookfield 83 – Curie 73
R.B. managed to over-come Josh Stamps 36 points to run by the Condors in a fleet up & down affair. Stamps was magnificent throughout the contest, silencing the audience with spin moves/slicing & dicing to the basket, then on the perimeter he was draining contested three pointers. But with the game on the line late, he settled for 3 point attempts instead of attacking the basket to draw fouls. R.B. received a solid performance from 6-7 senior Sam Johnson who finished with 24 points and seven rebounds, while sophomore guard Jalen Clanton turned in a sparkling outing with an array of dashes to the hoop on his way to 22 points. Henry Trelenberg a sophomore who has bright spot the last month or so, providing consistent outside shooting, he tallied 16. Junior point-guard Daniko Jackson was stellar directing traffic for his team, while handling Curie’s pressure flawlessly. Curie played without six foot two guard Devin Gage, the junior has a slight tear in the meniscus of his left knee.
