THE MOMENT OF TRUTH
One of the state’s top unsigned seniors Christian Williams just gave University Iowa a commitment. The six foot six guard arguably considered one of the top 10 players in the state will give the Hawkeyes a big athlete guard, a presence they have sought after for some time. Williams was pivotal in guiding his Decatur Teresa team to the championship game of the 2A state finals where they lost to Chicago Uplift 53-47. The talented Williams will be joining 2 other incoming Illinois products on the Hawkeye roster. Brandon Hutton 6-3, F, De LaSalle & Isaiah Moss 6-5, G/F, Simeon. This trio may add a formula to McCaffery’s system, with the door shut on Illinois division one schools participating in the NCAA tournament, a large part which will be illustrated through-out the event featuring state products. Consequently, our area schools spent too much time over-examining players while listening way too much to wanna be Jay Bilas types who tweet all game long! “While taking a long look at this group you can see why our area schools are on the outside looking in!”
