1. Stevenson (20-2) – A big week awaits at Warren Tues nite – Big game Fri-nite at home vs Lake Forest, then Saturday a big test against Simeon at Niles West.
2. Simeon (22-2) – Crushed North-Lawndale in the quarters on Sun 2-15, 70-41; Stevenson on Sat-Feb 21st.
3. Lake Forest (23-1) – Big game on Fri nite at Stevenson; 6-7 JR Lorenzo Edwards emerging as one of the top players in 2016 class.
4. Hales (19-3) – Beat DePaul Prep 47-44 on Sun, 2-15; will play Providence on Wed at St. Ignatius.
5. St. Rita (21-3) – Got blind-sided by a disciplined Providence Catholic team on Sun, 2-15, 51-49 during the Catholic Tournament.
6. Geneva (23-2) – Rolling along now – big game at St. Charles North on Tues 2-17.
7. Bogan (20-6) – Beat Kenwood in quarters 51-41; has a big game vs Young Wed 02-18 at Chicago State City Final 4.
8. St. Joseph (21-5) – Held on Sunday vs DeLaSalle 53-49; has Fenwick on Wed at St. Ignatius.
9. Thornwood (17-5) – Dismantled Andrews 74-36 Fri nite 2-13.
10. Morgan Park (17-6) – I must admit, I kind of missed having their aura present at the city finals.
11. Riverside-Brookfield (21-2) – Haven’t had a tough game in quite some time.
12. Thornton (18-3) – Beat a tough Lincoln-Way West team Fri nite 2-13, 54-46; they have an easy game at Bloom on Tues 2-17.
13. St. Charles East (19-3) – Cole Gentry & crew host a young Evanston team Tues 2-17.
14. Kenwood (18-6) – Dropped a quarter-final contest to Bogan 51-41; now they must clean-up ball-handling miscues before the state play-offs.
15. Uplift (20-4) – Played well vs Orr 83-69; have a date against Simeon on Wed; 2A State Final threat.
16. Fenwick (19-6) – Defeated St. Ignatius 52-44 in Catholic Tournament; now a real test against St. Joes on Wed at St. Ignatius.
17. Niles Notre Dame (21-4) – On top in a tough league; 6-5 sophomore Jeameril Wilson is going to be a good one.
18. St. Ignatius (19-6) – Won at the buzzer last week at home vs DePaul Prep; dropped a close one to Fenwick Sunday; up next Wed – De LaSalle at St. Rita.
19. Neuqua Valley (21-4) – Just a terrible late in the season lost to West Aurora Fri nite 2-13, 64-27; need to regroup quickly.
20. Maine South (22-3) – Pulled out a close on to Niles West 61-58 Fri 2-13.
