Top Freshman – 2019 in the State



 “I’m not going to speak on guys I haven’t seen, but I like the make-up of this group in the early stages.”

1.       Chris Payton  6-6  F            Bloomington – “Massive potential, elite talent, plays awfully hard.”
2.       Chris Burnell  6-1    PG         Rockford East – “Being classified in the same breath as VanVleet, a true talent, a player to watch.”
3.       Kahlil Whitney        6-4        WG Chicago Solorio – “Wiry wing, capable of double digit scoring nightly.”
4.       E.J. Liddell      6-6    F            Belleville West – “Has been impressive at every venue, very confident scorer.”
5.       Terrance Hargrove 6-6    F          East St. Louis – “The way he runs the floor & at times he shows you his skill-set, he oozes with potential, already possess an excellent frame.”
6.       Rashaun Agee         6-5   WF       Hyde Park – “He moonlights on the soph team at times, but this kid has star qualities & possess a high B.B. IQ!  Look for him to be at the top of the class when it is all said and done.”
7.       Perry Cowan  6-4     WF   DePaul Prep – “Highly touted entering high-school, unconscious high-volume shot-taker still learning how to play, he will be well coached.”
8.       Spencer Boehm       6-7   F          New Trier – “Good genes, has superb feel for climate at this stage, skilled.”
9.       Andre White Jr.        5-7 PG       Loyola Academy – “Has mad squabbles, he can wheel & deal with the best & he can score; a bright young talent.”
10.   Antonio Reeves       6-1               G          Chicago Kenwood – “A combo now, lanky shooter, can score in a variety of ways.”
11.   Marquis Walker       5-10 PG       St. Joseph – “Going through the necessary growing pains, he’s the primarye primary ball-handler for a veteran coach & a demanding big-man.  He will grow from the experience.”
12.   Kejuan Clements     5-10 PG       Chicago Simeon – “A highly regarded young prospect, superb quickness, currently playing behind some older lettermen.”
13.   Taeyon Neal  6-8     C      Providence St. Mel – “Big-body, agile, has a wealth of potential, once he gets the proper coaching. He could be a terrific talent.”
14.   Nicholas Kosich       6-0   G          York – “Heady & patient, can really shoot, has to improve his game off the bounce.”
15.   T.J. Wicks 6-8 F/C     Kankakee – “A raw promising prospect, thin now but gaining strength & confidence.  He can become the best big-man out of Kankakee since Curtis Gandy.”

16.   Martise Jacobs         5-8   PG       Chicago Uplift – “Shrewd, tough play-maker; good defender.”
