Borderline Gems – Low-Major – Division Two Prospects

Borderline Gems – Low-Major – Division Two Prospects

“The prospects we’ve identified here may opt for a different route.  Realistically this might be a level where they could obtain some immediate success at the next level.”

·     Mike Ballard             6-5                 F                    D2                  Fenwick – “This lanky shooter just might seek a preferred walk-on status at a Div. 1 program; he’s a kid who can thrive in a system setting.”
·     Keymonta Johnson                      6-4                 F                      D2                  Decatur MacArthur – “When he’s dialed in & playing with energy & passion, he’s one of the more productive in the class.  This lefty could end up in a Juco setting.”
·     Kenny Roberson     6-2                 G                     D2                  East St, Louis – “Talented athlete with extensive wing span.  He’s starting to come into his own as an all-around performer.  He could become an ace defender.”
·     Mike Dade                  5-9                 PG                  D2-SC           Quincy – “A poised general, he possess a calming presence on the floor.  Dade is a gamer who can make shots and plays (We like him).”
·     Karim Sameh            6-11              C                     SC                   Hales Franciscan – “A project that could take up to 2 years, he has some mobility at the defensive end, shows blemishes of decent footwork in the paint offensively, he has a lot more work to put in.”
·     Daniel Ogele             6-6                 F                      D2-SC           St. Ignatius – “Starting to feel comfortable after being hampered with a knee injury last season; played well at York.”
·     Andre Raiford          6-5                 F                      D2-SC           De LaSalle – “Plays hard & he’s a superb athlete, his game is starting to take shape.  Raiford could blossom into a D2 or small college All-American.”
·     Anthony D’Avanzo                        6-7                 SF                   D2-SC           Niles Notre Dame – “Sneaky athlete along the baseline, offensive game, particularly face-up needs some polish.”
·     Sidney Mason          6-5                 F                      D2                  Chicago Vocational – “Strong body, still learning how to play, does have the ability to score some.  Good Prospect!”
·     Donovan Ferguson                       6-8                 F/C                 D2-SC           Downer’s Grove South – “The big fella has drawn quite a bit of attention of late, good athlete & intriguing, he has been plagued by inconsistency.”
