The Gentile Center was rocking, the Ramblers had a nice over-flow crowd on-hand to see them battle the Shockers (14-2, 4-0). The perfect setting for an upset, but the Ramblers ran out of gas after going into intermission ahead 28-23. To beat this team in league play you need a good night of balance scoring form several individuals. The Shockers are such a good defensive team. “Great environment at the arena on Sunday, it was exactly what we’ve envisioned for all of our local schools (colleges) the last several years. NIU, UIC we see from time to time this setting at Northwestern and DePaul, depending on who’s visiting. An igniting experience to see the support from area coaches and some of the area’s top players as well as prospects from around the state. Loyola falls to 12-4, 2-2 in league play.
