ROUNDING OUT THE TOP 2020 PROSPECTS

“Next layer of our Top 10 Prospects presently, we will pass on categorizing any particular order. The top players in the class tend to flip flop week to week.”

NAME / HT / POS / LEVEL / RANK / HIGH-SCHOOL

• Keshawn Williams 6-2 G MM+-MM 7 Bloom
“Talented athletic combo, excellent leaper-makes jumpers on the perimeter; plays off the ball majority of the time, should sometime soon be converted to full-time PG.”

• Ahron Ullis 6-2 PG MM+-MM 8 Marian Catholic
“Can have some stretches where he orchestrates quickness & speed. Creating situations where he can score or distribute to open mates. Can shoot on the perimeter.”

• Donte Maddox 6-3 PG MM+-MM 9 Bloom
“Last viewed, he looked terrific flashing skills as a tough scoring play-maker. His game resembles many Public League cagers. He can shoot.”

• Sincere Parker 6-2 WG MM 10 Rockford East
“Was on an offensive tear the first few months of the season, made All-Tourney at Collinsville Holiday Classic. A rising prospect, we will see him in action in a few weeks during State Tournament games.”

• Seryee Lewis 6-8 PF MM 11 Chicago Kenwood
“Lanky front courter has shown ability to defend & compete. He’s starting to emerge as a reliable rebounder. Anticipate him to be on the move soon. He’s going to hoop with the Mac Irvin Fire this spring.”

• Devon Davis 6-0 G MM 12 Westinghouse
“A quick maneuvering athlete has some special gifts. He certainly can score in which he shown in a City Playoffs game versus Corliss when he dropped 30 in a losing cause. Needs to learn how to play system wise. A rising talent.”

• Will Wolfe 6-6 WG MM+-MM 13 Aurora Christian
“Operates on the perimeter with good length, excels at shot-making, versatile enough to play in a system setting or wide-open style. Huge summer awaits; hoops with the Illinois Wolves.”

• Damontae Taylor 6-5 WF MM 14 Zion-Benton
“A wiry cagey fella has enough offensive punch to make observers take notice. He likely will emerge as a full fledge stand-out after high-school. Leaps out of the gym & can score in a variety of ways. All in Athletics.”

• Ramean Hinton 6-3 G/F MM 15 Chicago Curie
“He can be un-conscious at times with his play. Made some huge shots in the City Finals versus Morgan Park where he registered 14 markers & 7 rebounds. Plays both ends tough like Chicago kids suppose to compete. Team Rose.”

• Romelle Howard 6-8 F/C MM 16 Lincoln Park
“The big fella has been academically ineligible most of the season until two weeks ago. He does hit the glass with authority & possesses a potent jump hook. Operating effectively in the classroom is a growing concern.”

• Marcus Watson 5-9 PG MM 17 Morgan Park
“Clever ball handler has an old-school approach to his game. Of making plays at both ends of the floor, sometimes overshadowed by others.”

• Demarius Splunge 6-5 G/F MM 18 Chicago Orr
“Versatile scorer was shelved with an injury early in the season. Now he seems to have hit his stride as the 2A State Finals have arrived. Mack Irivin Fire.”

• Davis Walker 6-3 PG MM 19 (Home School)
“Noteworthy of mentioning: this little-known Aurora native is recognized as a pass first type play-maker with good vision, doesn’t look to score often even though he’s more than capable. Likely will have to prove himself again on spring circuit. RWA.”
