TOP 5 UN-SIGNED SENIORS
IN ILLINOIS
(Who can qualify academically)
There is
still a nice collection of
talent available in our state, obviously no sure-fire high
major dandies at this
juncture. We envision several of these prospects having huge success at the
collegiate level.
1. Alonzo Verge Jr 6’2” PG MM Thornton
Had modest numbers at the Decatur Soy Classic. Verge did register 30 in one outing. He is capable of some breath-taking moments.
2. Rod Henry Hayes 6’4”
G MM Zion-Benton
His season debut will come in the waning days. This kid is skilled, has size & athleticism, more importantly he’s versatile. St. Louis
U has been in to visit him recently. One of our sleepers in the 2017 class.
3. Lucas Williamson 6’4”
WF MM Chicago Whitney Young
Makes his debut at the Chicago Elite Classic: Spot-Liter Top 15 is a Heady performer; He makes
shots & capable of playing an effective role in a
system setting.
4 Kawansie Wilkins 6’4”
G MM Chicago Farragut
Spot-Liter Top 20; Not known in many hoop circles, but Kawansie has an offensive arsenal and it
won’t surprise us if he led the city in scoring this season. Has Big game capabilities.
5 Mark Smith 6’4” G / F MM Edwardsville
Guided his team to
an
81-78 win over Belleville Althoff, where he had career high 37 points.
Smith illustrated he is one of the best-kept secrets in the state.
