Steve McClain’s
UNIVERSITY ILLINOIS AT CHICAGO ELITE CAMP
Sunday-August
7th
Being a true hoop connoisseur, my
two day odyssey steered me over to Roosevelt road where the up-swing flames
hold court. The event was strong, it brandished about 130 plus hoopers. There
was no comparison in entertainment value, the facilities were an ideal venue to
set-up shop for evaluating purposes, and we had opportunity to see kids in a
half-court setting. Number of players had taken part in DePaul’s camp the day
before, but still came out with the energy and enthusiasm to learn, knowing
there would be evaluations and judgement surrounding their play.
