Spot-Lite Player to Watch this Season
One of the most under-rated players in the area goes to Chicagoland Jewish, 6 foot guard Josh Newlander. The high-scoring senior was recently named MVP at a Jewish League event held in Memphis. In four games he averaged a cool 29.5 markers. Newlander was named 2013-14 player of the year by Jewish Hoops America. The season before he was named the organization’s top underclassmen. This kid is a good athlete with a solid skills, he can shoot from the perimeter with consistency. He also attacks the rim well. Anticipate him having a sensational season averaging well over 30 points per game. Josh is looking to walk-on at Indiana or Iowa.
