Reported – October 29th, 2014

Wabash Valley Junior College has demonstrated during some recent jamborees that the forward tandem of Kasey Elam-Carter and Denzel Smith could present some serious offensive damage to opponents.  Both freshmen were often considered unheralded during their senior campaign last season.  Elam, an athletic six foot eight forward who is skilled & has the ability to drain jumpers consistently from the perimeter. His game can be quietly exhilarating at times.  “I have always viewed the Champaign Centennial Alum as a high-major recruit after his juco experience.  Denzel, a Danville native has always shown the ability to score the ball.  Then he had a growth spurt between his sophomore and junior year where he sprouted out to be 6-6.  The Missouri Valley schools such as Southern Illinois, Bradley, Indiana State, Loyola-Chicago and A10 foes as St. Louis U & La Salle should circle his schedule on their calendars.
