2019 PANGOS ALL-MIDWEST FROSH. /SOPH. CAMP

OCTOBER 19TH-20TH, HELD AT THE LAGRANGE PARK DISTRICT

Dinos Trigonis strolled into town, set-up shop for few days, armed with a favorable contingent of national evaluators to assess the Camp’s surplus of up n’coming talent. Nike’s top observer, John Stovall, was on-hand along with the likes of Van Coleman, Clark Francis, and West-Coast scout Frank Burlinson. Rapidly rising national & local scouts, Brian Rogers and Derrick Ellison, were on-point with coverage. Great vibe at the event which featured some potential elite prospects, unfortunately the play was ratchet most times.

SPOT-LITER’S TOP 10 PLAYERS AT THE CAMP
“JUST OUR OBSERVATION”
1.    Omaha Biliew          6-7      G/F     2023   Dowling Catholic (West Des Moines)
“Swing-man clone showcased in the cream of the crop All-Star game, that he could become an electrifying figure. Shoots-it fairly well on the perimeter to go with collection of offensive moves. Iowa, Iowa State, and Nebraska has to get the drop on this kid. Was named camp’s outstanding player.”
2.    Jasen Green             6-7      G/F     2022   Millard North (Omaha, NE)
“This kid is a smooth player, good shooter with some range, plays the game the right way, he has excellent recognition for situations, elite talent. Nebraska has to keep him home.”
3.    Nigel Hylton             6-8      WF      2022   Lake Forest Academy
“Out of Canada with a terrific floor game & high ceiling. Toronto native has a nice stroke with deep range, good athlete with strong frame. Demonstrated that he has the ability to be an elite recruit.”
4.    Ty Rogers                 6-6      WG     2022   Grand Blanc (MI)
“Fine wing player has really nice two-day showing, due to Michigan High School rules, he couldn’t participate in the highly magnified cream of the crop game, but this kid is awfully talented destined for big season. Michigan and Michigan State likely charting heavy.”
5.    Javonte Taylor         6-7      WF      2023   Chicago Morgan Park
“Hands down the top player in our State’s talented ’23 Class. J.J. displays the look & the offensive repertoire to develop into a feared performer. Slender frame now, a budding stand-out.”
6.    Jack Rose                  6-4      G         2022   Central Westosha (Salem, WI)
“Quintessential performer doesn’t possess all the glitz & glam as some of the other notable dudes but plays a system/winning brand of hoops. Knock-down shooter on the perimeter. Wisconsin, Marquette, and Minnesota?”
7.    Donavan Younger  6-7      WF      2023   Bolingbrook (IL)
“Good lookin’ prospect, we haven’t seen a young talent of his caliber in the Bolingbrook/Romeoville area in recent memory. Triple threat type potential, consensus; top 5 incoming Freshman.”
8.    R.J. Walker               6-2      G         2022   Decatur Eisenhower
“Speedy guard showed signs of being a reliable defender as well as a slashing innovative player on the offensive side of the ball.”
9.    A.J. Casey                 6-8      F          2022   Tinley Park
“Did not set the camp on fire as some suspected what he showed was he’s a solid player with mobility & some shot-blocking prowess. Casey does possess the ability to knock-down mid-range jumpers. It will be interesting watching his development at the South Suburban School, where he will be under constant scrutiny nightly.”
10. Marcus Digram      6-0      G         2023   Whitney Young
“A smooth talent demonstrated some explosiveness when in attack mode. Our observation is that he’ll be a stand-out soon.”
