ISL 2018 WRAP-UP

The ISL Classic shaped up to be a fine event, we saw some competitive play & some up-n-coming teams in the area who seem to be positioning to make a splash this up-coming season. Corliss, T.F. South, Plainfield North, and Cary Grove looked like they could have been pinned champs on Sunday but ran out of gas. De LaSalle sprinted out to a quick start but finished 3-1, they had a strong showing. Oak Park went 3-1 but had to leave after defeating Sandburg in the first round of the playoffs. Prosser and Farragut had very good showings, Walter Payton was short handed both days and their chances took a major hit when stand-out guard Ryan Trotter went down with an ankle injury. Rockford Auburn and Niles North finished 3-2, both had strong outings, while Lincoln Park finished out 2-2. The event wrapped up to be a success.
