Former St. Rita
grad, Charles Matthews, will attend University of Michigan. He spent a year at Kentucky, so the six foot
five wing will have three years remaining after he sits out next season. Xavier was a finalist. Kendrick Nunn will suit-up for Oakland after
sitting out this upcoming season. Nunn
prepped at Simeon, where he teamed up with Jabari Parker to win four state
titles. His stay at Illinois was viewed
as productive. Nunn averages 15 points
and 5 rebounds as a junior last season.
DePaul released
six foot nine forward Tommy Hamilton IV; He netted 8 points and 5 rebounds a
game last season. He will have one year
remaining after he sits out. Hamilton’s
college career never lived up to the highly touted status he earned entering
into DePaul; “we hope the big fella
finds the right setting for second opportunity”.
All Catholic
League performer George Willborne Jr. will play for Texas San-Antonio next season,
the six foot three guard should be a nice addition to Steve Hensen’s
program.
The states number one 2017 prospect Jordan
Goodwin was visiting Northwestern last weekend. Chris Collins and his staff
have done an amazing job of recruiting Goodwin.
He’d be a coup for The Wildcats.
In hot pursuit for his services are Illinois, Missouri, Michigan State,
Indiana, and St. Louis University.
