The 6th Annual Lincoln Junior College Jamboree (October 11th) was an okay venue. There was some recruitable talent on display. Sixteen teams took part in the one day affair, each playing 3 games. The overall talent wasn’t real strong, but Indiana Hills, Southeastern Iowa and Mineral Area were the main attractions they had some quality players on their roster. Rend-Lake (IL) College had a surplus of young talent on-hand, early seasoning will help them gain the necessary confidence they need to compete at a high-level throughout a ball game. Wabash Valley was solid, they shot the ball well and played good defense. Kirkwood showed-up with a nice roster to go along with 6-7 Josh Meier who spent his freshman year at Chicago State where he had all-league first year honors. Sophomore Hunter Rhodes was an intriguing floor general. Notable colleges on-the-premises: Eastern Illinois, Bethune Cookman, Milwaukee-Wisconsin, Bradley, Virginia Tech, Cincinnati, Southern Illinois, Tulsa, Missouri-St. Louis, and Siena.
